3D printer modes

Zortrax M200 3D printer informs you about its current status by displaying different colors for different modes:

  • Heating – During the warming-up process, the 3D printer is changing color to red.
  • Sleep mode – When you are not performing any actions for 15 minutes after the 3D printer is turned on, the device turns into sleep mode and is changing color to purple.
  • Other modes – By the white color 3D printer indicates other modes, such as printing, standby or auto-calibration

Z-SUITE that suits your 3D program

Zortrax created its own software to help you convert your 3D model files. We call it Z-SUITE, and it’s compatible with most 3D design software.

Features

The ‘Split’ function is useful when you want to create objects too big for one print. It allows you to divide your model into two separate parts.

The ‘Print cost calculator’ in Z-SUITE software allows you to estimate the cost for single print. To calculate your print cost simply type the cost of spool and material usage and press ‘Calculate’ button.

zortrax multiple

If you want to print objects with a large number of details, eg. with small holes, the ‘Smart Bridges’ feature may be of use.

Thanks to it the Z-SUITE will not generate support material in places where it would be difficult to remove.

The ‘2D into 3D’ is a unique feature, which allows you to convert 2D files (.dxf) into 3D data. This means you can give your two-dimensional projects any thickness and turn them into real objects.

Z-SUITE works with most 3D modeling programs and operates with all universal formats such as:  .stl, .obj and .dxf.

Z-GLASS

Material with translucent structure, great for prototypes of products, which are dedicated to be manufactured from glass or translucent plastic. Thanks to light-transmitting surface, Z-GLASS is applicable in automotive, industrial design and architecture projects. It is also resistant to salts, acids and alkalis, which makes it perfect for creating mechanical parts exposed to chemicals.

Z-HIPS

Material with outstanding resistance to warping during 3D printing process. Thanks to this feature Z-HIPS is excellent for making large elements such as: housing prototypes, bigger parts or architecture mockups. It has unique matte texture, which absorbs light and reduces visibility of minor flaws, giving casings prototypes real commercial look. Z-HIPS is also resistant to solvents.

Z-ULTRAT

Versatile material suitable for printing many different types of models. It is perfect for prototyping models with features similar to products manufactured in the injection molding technology. It’s also suitable for mechanical and chemical post-processing. Objects 3D printed with Z-ULTRAT are strong, stable and time resistant. Z-ULTRAT properties are suitable for use in the evaluation of the object before starting mass production.

Z-PCABS

A blend of ABS and polycarbonate (PC) characterized by durability and resistance which makes it ideal for producing casings. Thanks to its resistance to high and low temperatures Z-PCABS is commonly used for producing functional prototypes.
